Ex-head of the “Right Sector” sentenced to 12 years in the case of the murder of former State Duma deputy Voronenkov

The court in Kiev sentenced the former head of the “Right Sector” Yaroslav Tarasenko to 12 years in prison in the case of the murder of ex-State Duma deputy Denis Voronenkov. About it informs “Grates”.

Tarasenko was found guilty of complicity in the murder of Voronenkov. The court established that he was the driver of the killer who shot the former State Duma deputy. Tarasenko was also found guilty of illegal possession of weapons.

Another person involved in the case, Kharkiv resident Alexander Los, was acquitted. According to the prosecution, he followed the ex-deputy on the eve of the murder, but the court found this unproven.

Probable customers of the murder – crime boss Yuri Vasilenko and ATO veteran Yaroslav Levenets – disappeared and were put on the wanted list.

Denis Voronenkov was killed in March 2017 near the Premier Palace Hotel in Kiev. The politician died on the spot, he was 45 years old. Killer Pavel Parshov was shot and killed by a guard of the former deputy.
