The annual large press conference of Russian President Vladimir Putin will be held without accreditation of journalists, the Kremlin will choose them itself. This was announced by his press secretary Dmitry Peskov.
The event will take place in Manezh on December 23, and 500 journalists will be allowed to attend.
According to Peskov, there will be no free accreditation for the press conference, since the number of seats has been limited due to the coronavirus.
“We will follow all the requirements of Rospotrebnadzor. Therefore, the number of journalists will be limited, the space will be increased … Usually we have over 1000-1100 people, but now, unfortunately, there will be 500. And since the number of seats will be limited, we will not do free accreditation. We ourselves will go out to journalists, we will have federal media that work on the presidential agenda. We will have foreign media outlets and we will invite regional media through our missions in the federal districts, ”Peskov said.
To get to the press conference, journalists will have to pass three negative PCR tests.
