In Syktyvkar, SOBR officers detained civil activist Andrei Ivashev on charges of inciting hatred and contempt of court. About it informs “7×7” with reference to the coordinator of the Public Meeting of the Komi Republic Alexei Kolegov.
According to Kolegov, SOBR fighters searched Ivashev’s private house and confiscated documents, gadgets and computer equipment from the activist. Ivashev is charged with two articles at once – 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Incitement to hatred”) and 297 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Disrespect for the court”). Kolegov told “7×7” that he tried to clarify with the investigator why the activist was detained, but he did not begin to talk to him.
“In all likelihood, Andrei Ivashev touched one of the policemen in his comments. He also fights against police brutality. By himself, Andrei is a harmless person, he lives modestly, protects social activists. He’s such a home lawyer. I helped many activists. And now they decided to pack it, ”added Kolegov.
According to “7×7”, Ivashev is currently in the investigation committee, on December 2 the court will choose a preventive measure for him.
