A new outbreak of coronavirus discovered on the border of China and Russia

A new outbreak of coronavirus was discovered on the border of China and Russia. About it informs State Health Committee of the People’s Republic of China.

On the eve, 21 new cases of infection within the country were detected in China, 20 of them in the Hulunbuire urban district of the northern autonomous region of the PRC Inner Mongolia. On the territory of this district, there is a border crossing between China and Russia, which plays an important role in regional cooperation between the two countries and trade exchange.

Over the weekend, the authorities in Hulunbuir imposed severe restrictions: residents are prohibited from leaving the city, public transport has been suspended, markets, entertainment venues and restaurants have been closed, and mass events have been restricted.

A total of 98,672 cases of coronavirus infection were recorded in mainland China during the pandemic, 4,636 of which were fatal.
