Czech President Milos Zeman has appointed Petr Fialu as the country’s new prime minister. About it informs Radio Prague.
The new prime minister has already presented to the president the composition of the cabinet of ministers, but it is not yet clear when exactly the entire government will be appointed. Fiala said the government is ready to take charge and begin to fight the energy crisis, inflation and the spread of the coronavirus.
The ceremony took place at Lana’s presidential castle, subject to strict security measures, since Zeman was diagnosed with the coronavirus earlier this week. The President was discharged from the hospital after a long hospitalization, but was soon sent back to the hospital in connection with a positive test for coronavirus.
Last Thursday, the Czech government announced a 30-day emergency in connection with a new outbreak of infections.
