Singer and composer, People’s Artist of Russia Alexander Gradsky died in Moscow at the age of 72. About it reported First channel.
The cause of the musician’s death was not specified. The day before, it was reported that Gradsky was hospitalized with suspected stroke.
Alexander Gradsky was born on November 3, 1949 in Kopeisk in the Chelyabinsk region. Graduated from the Faculty of Academic Singing of the State Musical Pedagogical Institute. Gnesins, studied at the Moscow Conservatory. In 1965 he founded one of the first rock groups in the USSR – “Slavs”, and a year later – the group “Skomorokhi”, which brought him popularity.
Gradsky is the author of music for more than 40 feature films. During his career he has released more than 18 albums, wrote several rock operas and many songs.
Recently, Gradskiy acted as a mentor to the participants of the “Voice” show. Channel One has already announced that it will continue working on the current season of the project in memory of the composer.
