President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has information that a coup d’etat was planned in the country on December 1-2. He made such a statement during a press marathon in Kiev, broadcast leads Office of the President of Ukraine on Facebook.

“There are big challenges within the state, which are recorded by the intelligence services of other countries. For example, we received information that there will be a coup d’etat on the first day, it seems to me important information, December 1-2, “Zelensky said (quote according to RBK-Ukraine).

According to Zelensky, he has undercover information, including audio recordings, indicating that “with representatives of Russia they are discussing the participation of [бизнесмена] Rinat Akhmetov in a coup d’etat in Ukraine that will attract a billion dollars. “

Zelensky expressed the opinion that Akhmetov was thus “being dragged into a war against the state of Ukraine.”

“Rinat Akhmetov is not preparing a coup d’etat. I will answer in Russian. People, services, some representatives of the Russian Federation and some comrades from Ukraine are discussing that the society is supposedly ready and that it is necessary to convey information that today Rinat Akhmetov is ready to join the question of the coup d’etat. Let’s just say, the change of the incumbent president, ”Zelensky said.

“I think this is Akhmetov’s setup, he is being dragged into the war against Ukraine,” the Ukrainian president noted. “I am not Yanukovych and I will not run anywhere,” Zelensky added.

Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov statedthat Russia never deals with such matters, reports TASS. “Russia had no plans to take part. Russia never deals with such matters at all, “said a Kremlin spokesman, commenting on the words of the Ukrainian president about the possible involvement of Moscow in planning a coup in the country.

Rinat Akhmetov tops the list of the richest Ukrainians according to Forbes. The publication estimates his fortune at $ 7.6 billion. The oligarch-controlled media outlets actively criticize the president’s actions.
