The Presnensky Court of Moscow sentenced three bloggers to 3.5 years in a general regime colony in the case of hijacking a taxi for the sake of a joke. About it informs metropolitan prosecutor’s office.
They were convicted of a crime under paragraph “a” of Part 2 of Art. 166 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (hijacking committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy).
The verdict was passed on 24-year-old Ramir Khasanov, 29-year-old Aydin Tusupov and 31-year-old Ersin Dumshebai.
According to the investigation, in March 2020, they called a taxi to Moscow City and, while the driver was helping to load purchases into the trunk, they stole the car. At the same time, one of them was driving a car, the second was filming what was happening on a mobile phone camera from the passenger compartment, and the third stayed near the shopping center and also filmed what was happening on camera. A few minutes later they returned the car to the victim, explaining that it was a “joke”.
