FSB officers conduct searches in the traffic police department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Crimea, informs “Kryminform” citing a law enforcement source. “Operational measures are being taken in the traffic police. They are being held within the framework of an initiated criminal case, ”the agency’s interlocutor said.
By data a source of TASS in law enforcement agencies, a criminal case of fraud is being investigated. The status of a witness was assigned to the deputy head of the traffic police department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Crimea, Yuri Mazhar.
“They are carrying out operational-search activities with him. He has not been detained, he is passing by as a witness, ”the source explained.
Yuri Mazhar has been the Deputy Head of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Crimea since 2014. From 2007 to 2014, he headed the department of the State Automobile Inspectorate (GAI) of the Bakhchisaray District Department of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Crimea.
Last week in Crimea, Russian security forces spent investigative actions against the Minister of Culture of Crimea Arina Novoselskaya. She is suspected of taking a bribe in the amount of 25 million rubles from Meander LLC for “general patronage” during the construction of the Crimean State Center for Children’s Theatrical Arts on the site of the former Puppet Theater in Simferopol. In two other criminal cases initiated in Crimea on the facts of corruption, interrogated the mayor of Kerch Svyatoslav Brusakov and Vadim Kirpichnikov, who served as head of the department in charge of the markets of Sevastopol.
In October, in Crimea, security forces conducted searches in the city council of Yevpatoria and detained its chairman Olesya Kharitonenko. She headed Evpatoria since 2014 and was the chairman of the local branch of United Russia.
