More than 500 passengers were dropped from Kazan transport in the first morning of the QR-code system operation

Over 500 people were dropped off from public transport in Kazan over the morning due to the lack of QR codes. About it informs Interfax.

The agency clarifies that Tatarstan was the first Russian region to introduce QR codes on public transport since Monday.

“At 7:30 Moscow time, conductors, the control and audit service and authorized inspectors disembarked more than 500 people from the rolling stock in Kazan,” the Kazan MUP Metroelektrotrans agency quotes.

They also reported that there were traffic disruptions in the city due to the reaction of passengers. Thus, trams of routes N1 and N6 stopped on Serov Street due to the fact that the passenger refused to show the QR code and did not leave the tram. Instead, he called the police, calling the conductor’s actions illegal.

A similar situation has developed in the Kazan metro, where there are QR codes checking in front of the station entrances. Some passengers are outraged and “take their anger out on the controllers.” So, the woman made a scandal, because she was not allowed to pass with a certificate that she had the first vaccination.

From November 22, travel in public transport in Tatarstan is possible only if there is a QR code about vaccination, past illness, or a certificate of medical evacuation from vaccination.
