In an accident near St. Petersburg, the former bishop of Chukotka, Father Diomid, crashed. He was defrocked after the conflict with the Russian Orthodox Church

In the Leningrad region, after a collision of a Kia Sorento passenger car with a truck, three people died. How informs 47 news, November 20, a passenger car driven by a 48-year-old woman from St. Petersburg drove into the oncoming lane of the Vologda-Novaya highway. All passengers of the Kia Sorento were killed. One of them is the former Bishop of Chukotka and Anadyr Diomid (in the world – Sergei Ivanovich Dzyuban), who was 60 years old. He was in the front passenger seat. The driver of a MAN truck was hospitalized with a broken leg and bruises.

In 2007, due to disagreements about different versions of the interpretation of faiths, a conflict began between Diomedes and the leadership of the Moscow Patriarchate, as well as personally with Patriarch Alexy II. It ended with the removal of the bishop in the summer of 2007 and then the defrocking in October 2008. Diomedes broke off communion with the Russian Orthodox Church, which he began to call “the servant of the Antichrist.”
