Ivanov’s Frunzensky District Court awarded 20 thousand rubles in compensation to the head of Yabloko’s registrar Andrei Avtoneev for the illegal detention and initiation of a case after the rally in support of Navalny on January 23. About it informs “7×7” referring to the activist himself.
Avtoneev asked the court to recover 90 thousand rubles from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, of which 40 thousand – for the services of a lawyer and 50 thousand – compensation for moral damage.
However, the judge refused to compensate him for non-pecuniary damage, since she considered it unproven.
The activist plans to appeal against the court decision and achieve payment of 90 thousand rubles requested by him.
The action on January 23 took place in Ivanov’s Hyde Park and attracted more than 350 people. According to the police, this violated the permitted number of participants in the event in a specially designated place.
