The Oktyabrsky District Court of Vladimir chose a measure of restraint for the interim deputy governor of the Vladimir region, Grigory Vishnevsky. He was remanded in custody until January 14, 2022 inclusive in a criminal corruption case, transfers Zebra TV.

A criminal case was initiated against Vishnevsky under clause “c” of Part 5 of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (taking a bribe on a large scale), informs regional department of the RF IC. The official faces imprisonment for up to 12 years.

According to the investigation, from August to November Vishnevsky received 600 thousand rubles for “general patronage”. The businessman who gave the money was promised that the official would not allow possible negative consequences for his company, which entered into and executed a number of government contracts. In particular, the company signed a contract for the overhaul of the gymnasium building in Kovrov.

Vishnevsky was detained by FSB officers while receiving another bribe in the amount of 400 thousand rubles.

The prosecutor petitioned for a measure of restraint for him in the form of two months of imprisonment, since an especially grave crime had been committed that discredited the authorities. According to the prosecutor, Vishnevsky can go into hiding at large, threaten witnesses or destroy evidence. Judge Igor Yegorov agreed with the state prosecution.

At the court session, it became known that Gradial LLC from Krasnogorsk, Moscow Region, was involved in the criminal case. The company is managed by Vladimir Zhukharev.

In January 2020, Gradial won a tender for the overhaul of the second building of gymnasium No. 1 named after A.N. Barsukova (former boarding school) in Kovrov for students in grades 1-6 for 528 places. The contract value was 244.8 million rubles. But the employees of the company did not have time to complete it on time.

A native of the Primorsky Territory, Grigory Vishnevsky has been acting as Vice Governor of the Vladimir Region since March 18, 2021. He oversaw the departments of education, culture, sports, youth policy and the State Inspectorate for the Protection of Cultural Heritage Sites. Prior to that, Vishnevsky worked in the team of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Olga Golodets.
