Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that almost 100 thousand Russian troops are located near the Ukrainian border. Zelensky’s video message published on his Facebook page.

According to him, Western countries provided Kiev with information about the active movements of Russian troops.

“I hope that now the whole world sees who really wants peace, and who is concentrating almost 100 thousand troops on our border,” the Ukrainian president said.

At the end of October, The Washington Post, Politico and CIT reported about the pulling together of Russian troops to the border with Ukraine after the Russian-Belarusian military exercises “West 2021”. Journalists analyzed the photos and videos that appeared on social networks and found clusters of Russian equipment in the Bryansk, Voronezh and Rostov regions, as well as in Kursk.

CIA chief William Burns came to Russia to warn of Washington’s attention to the movement of Russian wax around the border with Ukraine. About it reported TV channel CNN. According to the channel’s interlocutors, Burns was sent on a working trip by US President Joe Biden. During the visit, which took place from 2 to 4 November, the head of the CIA met with senior Russian officials.

CNN noted that Burns warned Russia against plans to conduct any offensive operations.

The Kremlin called publications about military equipment near the border with Ukraine poor-quality stuffing, and the US statements – “empty and groundless escalation of tension.”
