Former operative and founder of the Internet-search company Igor Bederov called false information from the media about the leak of data of half a million residents of the Moscow region with fake vaccination certificates.
“The data in the media about 500 thousand names are unreliable, – reported Bederov RT. – This is not a real leak from sites, but a banal fake of the database. The news is hype, and it attracted scammers who planned to resort to blackmail and extortion. “
He also noted that the merged base consists of 88 thousand surnames, which belong mainly to immigrants from Central Asia.
The fact that the data of Russians who bought fake vaccination certificates and fake PCR tests were put up for sale on the darknet and Telegram channels earlier wrote Kommersant. The journalists of the publication contacted one of the data sellers and found out that a database of a thousand lines costs $ 120. The database contains passport data, SNILS, phone number, place of residence and information on the date of receipt of the certificate.
In a conversation with the publication, the owner of the Eye of God Telegram channel, Evgeny Antipov, said that some databases also contain OMS data. According to Antipov, the largest of the sold databases contains information on 500 thousand people. As Antipov explained to The Insider, there is no single database – information is little by little put up for sale. The last base is assembled from parts and exhibited as exclusive. “Every day they publish data of buyers of fake OSAGOs, and now this one, too,” says Antipov.
He draws attention to the fact that the data of people with fake certificates is available in principle, so it does not matter how many people are inserted into the sale. “Files with personal data for 10,000 lines, for 1,000 lines, for 500,000 lines. Even if this leak is fake, then you can breathe out and motivate people to leave their data further? Can we breathe out and continue buying high-quality QR codes from the “honest guys” who fake documents? “
