From the draft federal budget for the second reading in the State Duma, the funds allocated for the treatment of hepatitis C, which Vladimir Putin instructed to allocate, have disappeared. About it reported MP from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Alexei Kurinny.
“The President’s instruction was from the last message – to provide drug supply for the treatment of hepatitis C. Initially, the amount was in the draft budget – 30 billion, now it is not at all, it is gone,” said Kurinny.
Deputy Finance Minister Pavel Kadochnikov forwarded this question to the Ministry of Health.
“This issue was considered within the framework of the preparation of the draft budget, now this position is not included in the amendments. The President instructed to develop a drug training program, respectively, this issue is being worked out by the Ministry of Health from the point of funding possibilities. Unfortunately, we haven’t found opportunities to raise funds in the budget yet, ”Kadochnikov said.
In response, Kurinny asked: “With a 1.5-trillion surplus?” Kadochnikov replied that “there are budget priorities, they are all formulated in the health care development program, the president’s orders are priority, this is the implementation of messages, these things are fully provided.”
On April 21, Putin addressed a message to the Federal Assembly and instructed the government to implement additional measures to combat diseases, which are the leading cause of premature deaths in Russians. Among them, the president singled out hepatitis C.
