The State Duma adopted in the first reading a bill on the abolition of mandatory technical inspection for personal vehicles. About it reported on the website of the lower house of parliament.
According to the approved document, the passage of maintenance will be necessary for individuals only when registering, changing the owner, changing the design or replacing the main units of vehicles. In all other cases, it will be possible to receive a diagnostic card on a voluntary basis.
At the same time, for commercial vehicles, including trucks, buses and taxis, the procedure remains mandatory.
The document was submitted to parliament on September 14 after government approval.
