Former employee of Alexei Navalny’s headquarters in Ufa, Lilia Chanysheva, was detained after many hours of interrogation and search. She is suspected of “organizing an extremist community,” said Navalny’s associate Leonid Volkov. Chanysheva faces up to 10 years in prison.
“So far, she was detained for 48 hours, and we need to raise the maximum noise while the issue is being resolved as it is prevented. Lily needs to be saved “- wrote Volkov on Telegram.
On the morning of November 9, the police came with searches to more than ten oppositionists in the Kemerovo region and Bashkiria. Most of them were employees or volunteers of Navalny’s headquarters.
In Kemerovo, the security forces came to the former employees of Navalny’s headquarters, Dmitry Didenko and Elizaveta Slavinskaya, as well as to the former volunteer Daria Romanchuk. They did not conduct a search at Slavinskaya, since her mother is presumably sick with a coronavirus. Police seized all equipment from Didenko and Romanchuk. All three activists were questioned as witnesses.
In Novokuznetsk, searches were also carried out on the premises of an activist of the “Vesna” movement and the technical director of “Skat.media” Fyodor Reguzov, as well as on the former candidate to the State Duma Denis Shakin.
In Ufa, they came not only to Chanysheva and her colleague Fyodor Telin, but also to former headquarters volunteers Albert Gaskarov, Alexandra Maslova, Olga Komleva, Viktor Pryadil’shchikov and Rustem Mulyukov. In addition, a search was carried out at the house of journalist Anastasia Denisenko.
