The prosecutor’s office appealed against the decision of the court of first instance and demanded to sentence the 17-year-old person involved in the “palace case” Gleb Borisov to seven years in real life. Earlier, the court gave him a five-year suspended sentence. This was announced by the father of the convict Boris Borisov, writes OVD-Info.
The first verdict on Borisov was passed on September 1 by the Tverskoy District Court. He was found guilty under two articles of the criminal code: the use of non-dangerous violence against government officials and damage to someone else’s property out of hooliganism. The charge also tried to attract Borisov under the article on group hooliganism, but this charge was dropped.
As reported by OVD-Info, citing the words of the convict’s father, Borisov, on 23 January, kicked the officers of the National Guard at the rally in support of the founder of the FBK Alexei Navalny. During the trial, he apologized to them, the apology was accepted. The National Guards said that they did not feel pain. In addition, Borisov took part, together with another person involved in the “palace case” Konstantin Lakeev, in throwing snowballs at a car assigned to the FSB. The latter is now in jail-2 (“Butyrka”).
In addition, the court of first instance ruled that Borisov should pay 427 thousand rubles to the military unit of the FSB in order to damage the car. This amount may decrease, as new persons involved have appeared in the case. The investigation believes that at least 13 people participated in throwing snowballs at the car.
The new requirements of the prosecutor’s office will be considered in an appeal on November 11 in the Moscow City Court.
