In Russia, 1,195 people died from the coronavirus per day – this is another record for the entire time of the pandemic. 40 217 people fell ill per day, informs headquarters to combat the spread of COVID-19.

In Moscow, 6305 new cases were detected per day, in St. Petersburg – 3271 cases, in the Moscow region – 2732 people, in the Samara region – 1603, in the Voronezh region – 802, in the Nizhny Novgorod region – 799.

The day before, the headquarters reported 40 443 cases and 1189 deaths per day.

Demographer Alexey Raksha previously told The Insider that there are significantly more deaths than official statistics. “It feels like we are now at the level of four thousand deaths per day. Last week there were 3,750 excess deaths per day on average per week, ”Raksha said. “Apparently, there will be growth for some time. Even if we are now at the peak of morbidity, mortality will peak in another 2-3 weeks, so November will be very sad. Although October turns out to be a record one – this month there will be approximately 96-100 thousand excess deaths, in November about 120 thousand, and in total since the beginning of the pandemic – more than 800 thousand. Everything that the headquarters says is a lie, it’s time to stop paying attention to what the headquarters, Rospotrebnadzor and Stopkoronavirus say, ”the demographer noted.

Earlier, the authorities of all 85 Russian regions announced the introduction of a QR code system for visiting public places. However, in some regions, this measure has not yet entered into force and will work until mid-December.
