President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili applied to the authorities with a request to tighten measures for vaccination of the population. “I urge the government to take urgent and strict measures – to make mandatory vaccinations for risk groups, introduce Covid passports to enter public places and even pay treatment for unvaccinated people,” Zurabishvili said during the briefing.
She noted that due to the pandemic, the country is experiencing an unprecedented tragedy. Over the past day, 6,024 new cases of coronavirus infection were detected in Georgia. This is 10.33% of all tests done during this period. 49 patients died, 3,818 people were cured.
