Foreign tourists massively refuse booked tours to Russia or transfer them due to the lack of certificates of vaccination with Russian vaccines, which are required to visit many popular sites. About it reported Executive Director of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia Maya Lomidze.
“The main flow of tourists to Russia comes from Arab countries (UAE, Qatar), India, there are tourists from Europe (Germany, Switzerland, Slovenia). Most of the foreign tourists coming to Russia are vaccinated. But in Russia the QR code, which is received after being vaccinated with foreign vaccines, does not work. Therefore, after the end of non-working days, tourists will not be able to visit museums and theaters, ”Lomidze said.
According to her, Rospotrebnadzor in the Leningrad Region has already officially confirmed that the admission of visitors vaccinated with foreign vaccines to the museums of this region is not allowed. In addition, it is now unclear what the restrictions on visiting restaurants and other facilities will be after the end of the lockdown on November 7.
Lomidze noted that individual hotels respond to tour operators’ requests for the need for QR codes, but there are no uniform requirements in the regions. For example, in Moscow, a foreigner can take a PCR test and receive a QR code, but in other regions there is no information about this possibility.
