The St. Petersburg court did not impose a preventive measure and released Instagram-model Irina Volkova from the courtroom, who was accused in the case of the photo near St. Isaac’s Cathedral. About it informs press service of the city courts.
The court refused the measure of restraint, as the arguments of the investigator are “presumptive”.
Volkova was brought to the hall in handcuffs, and during the meeting she was in a cage. At the trial, the girl apologized for “offending the feelings of believers.” When asked why she took the picture, Volkova replied that she “played a little bit with the blogger” and “took pictures crazy.”
Volkov accused in insulting the feelings of believers. The reason was the photo in which she squatted against the background of St. Isaac’s Cathedral with her skirt up.
Earlier, the Tverskoy District Court of Moscow passed a verdict on the participants of the photo session against the background of St. Basil’s Cathedral. Blogger from Tajikistan Ruslan Talabjon (Ruslana Bobieva) and model Anastasia Chistova (Asya Akimova) sentenced to ten months in a general regime colony under the article on insulting the feelings of believers (part 1 of article 148 of the Criminal Code). The reason for the trial was the publication of a photograph in which the defendants, as it seemed to the audience, imitated oral sex. The girl was squatting in front of her filming partner, while she was wearing a jacket with the words “police” on it.
On October 1, the Moscow Zamoskvoretsky Court ruled to expel Bobiev from Russia for violating the regime of stay in the country (Article 18.8 of the Administrative Code) and fined him 5 thousand rubles. In addition, he and Akimova received ten days of arrest for disobeying the police (part 1 of article 19.3 of the Administrative Code).
