In the Ivanovo region, the Ministry of Internal Affairs opened a case, the defendant of which was the governor of the Ivanovo region, Stanislav Voskresensky, after a former policeman, Sergei Rimsky, complained about him. Voskresensky took part in the All-Russian Forum of Light Industry and did not wear a mask, writes “7×7”.

Rimsky noted that he was prompted to write a statement by “double standards”: the governor ignored antiquated measures at the time when the corresponding police raids with the participation of riot police are taking place in the shopping center, and ordinary citizens are fined every day for not wearing a mask. In addition, Voskresensky called on citizens to be conscientious and talked about the need to wear masks.

“This week, the antique raids frankly got everyone, – wrote Roman on Instagram. – And on the weekend, riot police were released in the shopping center. At the same time, literally on Friday, a textile forum was held in Ivanovo, at which the governor of the Ivanovo region Voskresensky and 95% of the participants in this event simply hammered into the mask mode and sat and chatted calmly. And no riot police came to them, no one wrote out the protocol ”.

The publication writes that the Ministry of Internal Affairs has opened an administrative case under article 20.6.1 of the Administrative Code (failure to comply with the rules of conduct in an emergency or the threat of its occurrence), an investigation is underway.

Rimsky explained that the case was initiated regarding an event, and not a specific person. According to him, law enforcement officers should bring the governor Stanislav Voskresensky to administrative responsibility or refuse to do so. The ex-policeman is sure that the Ministry of Internal Affairs will “ruin” the case.

“The very fact that she was aroused is good enough to draw attention to the double standards in compliance with the measures,” Rimsky told 7×7. – But, most likely, the police will issue a ruling to dismiss the case. I do not know under what pretext they will do it. But it is clear that they will not bring the governor to justice. It would be something unrealistic under the current conditions. “

Earlier, Voskresensky appealed to the residents of the region with an appeal “to unite and behave very responsibly.”

“We are not supporters of tough measures, because we understand that people need to work, earn money, and children need to learn. But it is important now to take care of your health. What to do? Get vaccinated. Vaccination helps. If there are contraindications – be very careful! Wear masks where possible, minimize contacts, observe social distancing in public places, be more often outdoors, at home, ”- stated governor.

Sergei Rimsky resigned from the Ivanovo Ministry of Internal Affairs in February 2021. After his dismissal, he recorded a video in support of FBK founder Alexei Navalny and started YouTube channel, in which he told details about the work of law enforcement agencies in Russia.

At the same time, the Ministry of Internal Affairs continues to fine large sums of money for the lack of a mask on their face in public places. For example, in Tambov the court fined pensioner Oleg Bondarev 50 thousand rubles for non-compliance with this requirement. and the Arkhangelsk lawyer Alexander Kozenkov and the activist Oleg Mandrykin were assigned 10 thousand rubles each. fine.
