The Moscow District Court of St. Petersburg sent under house arrest until December 25, the head of Ramzan Kadyrov’s representative office in the North-West Federal District, Islam Khizriev, who is accused of drug possession (part 2 of article 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). About it informs united press service of the courts of St. Petersburg.

The press service notes that the investigation asked to send a representative of Chechnya to a pre-trial detention center, but the court refused.

“Khizriev is a citizen of the Russian Federation, has 5 minor children, a disabled spouse and a disabled mother, is the only breadwinner, lives at the place of registration, is employed, has a permanent legal source of income. Convincing evidence that Khizriev cannot be taken as a measure other than custody has not been presented to the court by the investigation, ”the corresponding decision was explained in the court.

According to the investigation, Islam Khizriev, no later than 01:50 on October 26, illegally kept with him, without the purpose of sale, “a narcotic mixture containing mephedrone weighing at least 2.93 grams.”

How reported edition 47news, traffic police officers of the Moskovsky district stopped a Porsche Cayenne Turbo driven by Islam Khizriev. According to 47news, he was in “not quite adequate condition.” They confiscated 3 grams of “a certain substance” from Khizriev, which experts later identified as a narcotic psychostimulant.

During a medical examination, the remains of prohibited substances were found in Khizriev’s blood, after which a criminal case was initiated against him for the purchase of drugs on a large scale.

Previously, Khizriev was a security guard for the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Chechnya Apti Alaudinov, who is currently an assistant to Ramzan Kadyrov. Thanks to Alaudinov, Khizriev eventually took over as the representative of the head of Chechnya in the Northwestern Federal District.
