The Interior Ministry stressed that Plahotniuc, Platon and Usatii are citizens of both Russia and Moldova. “In the event of the extradition of the accused, in accordance with the sanctions of the articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, they face punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 20 years,” the department added.
