(…) We have no reason to doubt that Alexandra had this violin legally, and evidence will soon be presented. “
He asked media representatives and commentators on social networks “to refrain from sensational names and labeling of one of the best violinists in Moldova.”
The fact that the confiscated violin belongs to Kononova was reported by the literary and music critic, head of the Cartier publishing house Giorgi Erizanu. “A terrible” crime “was committed by the citizen of the Republic of Moldova Alexandra Kononova – one of the best violinists in the world”, – wrote he is on the social network.

According to him, the confiscated violin, known as “Ida Levin”, was made in 1785 in Turin by Stradivari’s pupil Giovanni Battista Guadanini. The unique instrument was presented as a sign of respect and gratitude to the talent of Alexandra Kononova by Cedric Berger from Switzerland.
