During the filming of one of the scenes of the film “Rust”, in which Baldwin acts as a producer and performer of the main role, the actor was fired from a fake weapon, which turned out to be loaded. As a result, cameraman Galina Hutchins died. The woman was taken to the hospital by helicopter, but the doctors were unable to save her. The 48-year-old film director Joel Sousa was also injured. He is in a hospital in critical condition.

Production of the film has been temporarily suspended and an investigation is underway. One of the filmmakers told The Hollywood Reporter that the patron had to be blank. How the weapon was loaded is unknown.

Hutchins is a native of the USSR. She received her journalism education in Kiev, but in recent years has taken part in the filming of Hollywood films as a cameraman.
