Lawyer Ivan Pavlov filed a lawsuit against the Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia and Roskomnadzor for blocking the website of the human rights association “Team 29”, which he headed. About it informs Interfax with reference to the press service of the Tverskoy Court of Moscow.

“The plaintiff asks to declare illegal the decision to take measures to restrict access to the information resource http://team29.org and to restrict access to the resource,” the press service of the court said.

The court clarified that the decision to accept the claim for production has not yet been made.

Roskomnadzor blocked the Team 29 website on July 16.

On April 30, the Investigative Committee conducted searches in the St. Petersburg office of Team 29. Prior to that, FSB officers detained lawyer Pavlov in one of the hotels in Moscow. Searches were also carried out in Pavlov’s hotel room and his wife’s house in St. Petersburg.

The lawyer was accused of disclosing data from a preliminary investigation (Article 310 of the Criminal Code) in the case of his client journalist and adviser to the head of Roscosmos Ivan Safronov.

Pavlov stated that he considers this to be revenge for his principled position on a number of cases that the FSB is investigating.

Team 29 is a non-profit project that brings together lawyers, lawyers and journalists. They specialize in cases involving information, including state secrets, and defend those accused of treason.

Since April 26, Pavlov and his colleagues from Team 29 have defended the Anti-Corruption Foundation and Navalny’s headquarters. The Moscow City Court recognized them as extremist organizations.
