Children with cystic fibrosis who need preferential drug provision since the beginning of 2021 have not received the necessary drugs in full due to their lack in pharmacies.
Cystic fibrosis is a genetic disease in which the bronchopulmonary system, pancreas, liver and other organs are affected. Due to a gene mutation, all fluids in the body are very viscous. Thick phlegm causes lung damage and chronic bacterial infections.
In June of this year, patients with cystic fibrosis complained that since March they cannot receive the drug Pulmozyme (dornase alfa), which is included in the federal program of 12 rare diseases. The purchase of the medicine at their own expense would cost the patients 60 thousand rubles, reported “So it goes”.
