Russian tourists in Albania could be killed by chlorine in the hotel pool. About it writes local edition of the Albanian daily News citing an anonymous police source.
“Russian tourists asked to swim in the hotel’s pool, which was closed. <...> On Friday, I cleaned it with chlorine so that vacationers could use it, ”one of the hotel employees told the publication.
According to the interlocutor of the publication, chlorine poisoning is still the main version in the investigation.
The Russian embassy urged to refrain from spreading unconfirmed versions of the deaths of tourists, and the publications about chlorine poisoning called Albanian journalists conjectures.
Earlier, the embassy confirmed the deaths of Natalia Burenkova, Sergei Burenkov, Ekaterina Burenkova and Nikita Belousov. They died on October 15 in a sauna at the Gloria Hotel in the Kerret village of Kawai County. According to the preliminary version, the cause of death was suffocation.
