Ministry of Health of Belarus reported that the provision of planned medical care has been suspended in the polyclinics of the Republic. This is done in order to “improve the treatment of patients with COVID-19.”
“This includes conducting medical examinations, screening measures, providing rehabilitation assistance, performing physiotherapy procedures, treatment in day care units, and providing routine dental care,” the ministry’s website says.
For the day as of October 18, 1,956 new cases of coronavirus infection were registered in Belarus. In total, according to official data, since the beginning of the pandemic, 573 943 cases of infection have been confirmed, 546 415 patients have recovered. 4,417 people died from complications.
