The Basmanny District Court of Moscow sentenced the former deputy head of a department in one of the departments of the Russian Defense Ministry, Fyodor Dyulger. He was sentenced to five years in prison in a maximum security penal colony.

The verdict was not appealed, but has not yet entered into legal force, transfers TASS with reference to the court. Dyulger was taken into custody in the courtroom after the verdict was announced.

Fyodor Dyulger at the time of the crime was the deputy head of the department for providing furniture and equipment in the department for operational maintenance and provision of communal services to military units and organizations. He is currently retired.

Fyodor Dyulger was charged with Part 6 of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (taking bribes on an especially large scale).

In court, the accused pleaded guilty, but asked to qualify his actions not as a bribe, but as a large-scale fraud (Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). During the debate of the parties, the state prosecution requested nine years in a maximum security colony for him, but the court sentenced the military official to a sentence below the minimum limit on the charges brought against him.

In the summer of this year, a criminal case was initiated against the former head of the food department of the Ministry of Defense, Colonel Alexander Berezhny. He is accused of receiving record bribes for the department totaling hundreds of millions of rubles.

According to the investigation, the criminal group created by the officer included Alexander Vakulin, deputy Berezhny, Lieutenant Colonel Alexei Grinyuk, senior officer of the food department’s technical support department, and Alexander Boruvkov, former deputy head of the Defense Ministry’s department for competitive procedures. reported RBC.

The ex-head of the department for conducting competitive procedures for the state order of the Department of Public Procurement of the Ministry of Defense Yury Reshetnikov is also involved in the case.

The bribes were handed over to the military, according to the investigators, by the Petersburg businessman Alexei Kalitin. Its structures (OOO Spetstekhmash, Obshchepit, BMiAi Europe Rus and Stillag) received preferences when concluding government contracts with the Ministry of Defense.

Due to the conclusion of state contracts on conditions unfavorable for the ministry, the state suffered damage in the amount of over 650 million rubles. In addition, Boruvkov confessed to receiving bribes in the amount of over 368 million rubles, transferred by Kalitin.

In March, the Khamovnichesky District Court of Moscow sentenced Boruvkov, who had concluded a pre-trial agreement, to 5.5 years of imprisonment in a strict regime colony. In addition, the convict was ordered to pay a fine of 368 million rubles. The court also satisfied the claim to recover from Boruvkov over 650 million rubles as compensation for damage, reported RF IC.

In the spring of 2021 also reported on the initiation of a criminal case on embezzlement in the amount of almost 4.5 billion rubles, committed during the construction of various facilities of the Ministry of Defense.
