In North Ossetia, convicts revolted in correctional colony No. 1 in Vladikavkaz, informs Interfax citing an informed source.
According to preliminary data, the riot was preceded by a conflict on the territory of the industrial zone, allegedly due to the disagreement of the convicts to observe the regime established in the colony. They smashed surveillance cameras and internal doors on the premises of the penitentiary.
The instigators of the riots were blocked.
One of the sources of “Interfax” said that the situation in the colony remains tense. According to him, there were clashes with employees of the Federal Penitentiary Service. “Some time ago, the prisoners had already made an attempt to organize riots, but then this situation was smoothed out,” he added.
The perimeter of the colony in Vladikavkaz, where the riot is taking place, has been cordoned off, Tamerlan Tsgoev, human rights ombudsman in North Ossetia, told TASS. “The situation is stable. The perimeter is cordoned off. No suppression decision was made here. The situation is still under control, ”said the Ombudsman.
The colony “is being pulled together from all over the city,” notes the blog chp.ossetia on Instagram. In the same place published video with the movement of the convoy of cars of the security forces.
