Russian President Vladimir Putin has appointed former Crimean prosecutor and ex-State Duma deputy Natalia Poklonskaya as ambassador to Cape Verde. The decree about this is posted on the official Internet portal of legal information.
Poklonskaya told RIA Novosti, which has already completed an internship at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and courses at the Diplomatic Academy, and also collected all information about Cape Verde
Since 2014, Poklonskaya worked for two years as a prosecutor of the Crimea. In 2016, she left the post in connection with the election to the State Duma. Poklonskaya was Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Security and Anti-Corruption, then became Deputy Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs.
In May 2021, she refused to participate in the primaries of United Russia, explaining this by moving to a new job.
