The artist stood at the parliament building with scales and intended to weigh the deputies of the new convocation.
“How, in a truly medieval reality, can we, citizens, control our elected representatives? I believe that we have nothing else to do but turn to the experience of a small English town of the 17th century – High Wycombe. The local mayors began to gain weight one after another during their service, as it turned out, they profited from money and big bellies. To curb corruption, the townspeople had to start weighing them at the beginning and at the end of the term. Corruption has been defeated, ”said Kalinin in his manifesto.
Fedor Kalinin is a native of Kirov, who is engaged in actionism both in his hometown and in Moscow. Among his works – a collage in the form of a Russian flag, collected from the ads of rehabilitation centers for drug addicts in the Muzeon park for the Independence Day of Russia and the action “Do you want to be re-elected? Call! ”, Dedicated to the Duma election campaign.
