In Turkey, officers from the Anti-Terrorism Directorate of the Istanbul Police and the National Intelligence Organization detained last week six foreigners suspected of espionage. Among them were people with Russian passports. Representatives of the Chechen Diaspora in Turkey told the project “Kavkaz.Realii” about one of the detainees – a citizen of the Russian Federation, who, according to them, is connected with the leadership of Chechnya and may be involved in the contract killings of critics of Ramzan Kadyrov.
“His name is Beslan, his middle name is Iznaur,” says Chechen opposition blogger Khasan Khalitov. “The local Chechen Telegram channel Security Turkey recently wrote about him.”
According to Khalitov, Vasambek Bokov, who was arrested in Georgia for plotting a contract murder, introduced him to Beslan. “Bokov (real name – Magomed Gutsiev) in the month of Ramadan invited me to his home and there he introduced me to Beslan via video communication. I was surprised that this Beslan boasted of his acquaintance with the Patriot (Abuzaid Vismuradov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Chechen Republic), ”the oppositionist explained.
Khalitov claims that Beslan offered potential informants a monetary reward for information about him. According to the oppositionist, Beslan is connected with the Chechen authorities. Khalitov’s account of Beslan is confirmed by a Chechen source in Kavkaz.Realii in Istanbul.
Khalitov was told that the alleged killer had been promised $ 300,000 for his head. The Chechen opposition leader expressed his readiness to cooperate with the police and give evidence.
At the end of September, Khalitov, now living in Turkey, accused the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, of organizing a blood feud. announced to his relatives, the family of a law enforcement officer Akhmed Arsanukaev. The administrators of the Security Turkey Telegram channel called Arsanukayev’s actions a response from the Chechen authorities to the beating of the “Kadyrovtsy” in Turkey. This channel was created by the Chechens in order to counteract the “Kadyrovites” and the employees of the Russian special services.
Previously, Khalitov lived in Georgia, where he had a car service. However, last year, the businessman witnessed the preparation of an attempt on the life of journalist Georgy Gabunia, who spoke obscenely against Russian President Vladimir Putin on live television.
The attempt on the journalist’s life was prepared by Vasambek Bokov, who was arrested in Tbilisi. Khalitov, fearing for his safety after receiving threats and attempts at poisoning, moved to Turkey.
