HSE student Maria Platonova charged with inciting riots over chat messages under a false name

Maria Platonova, a 20-year-old HSE student and ex-headquarters designer for State Duma candidate Anastasia Bryukhanova, was charged with inciting riots over chat messages under the name “Vovan Zabivnaya.” About it writes DOXA.

September 16 in Platonova’s apartment passed search. The ruling on the prosecution says that Platonova and other persons, together with Dmitry Chebanov, “made a decision to induce and otherwise involve an unlimited number of people in Russian cities in the riots” through Telegram channels. Platonova herself denies participation in the alleged events.

September 17 Basmanny District Court of Moscow sent Maria Platonova under house arrest until November 14.
