India will start issuing tourist visas from 15 October



India will begin issuing tourist visas to foreign citizens from October 15 after a one and a half year break, in order to obtain such a visa, tourists must arrive on a charter flight. About it informs “Interfax” with reference to the official statement of the government of the country.

India previously allowed the issuance of business, diplomatic and student visas.

From November 15, tourists arriving on regular flights will also be able to obtain tourist visas.

“All protocols and regulations related to the prevention of the spread of COVID-19, which have been introduced by the Ministry of Health, must be observed by foreign tourists, airlines that bring them to India, as well as all airport employees,” the statement said.

Russia resumed flights with India in January 2021. Flights from Moscow to Delhi and Goa and from St. Petersburg to Delhi and Goa are operated in a limited mode. However, charter tourist transportation is prohibited.
