The regional administration of the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on the production and sale of goods that did not meet safety requirements, which inadvertently resulted in the death of more than two persons (part 3 of article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Searches are currently underway in the places where alcohol is sold.
According to the data of the Investigative Committee, the deceased residents of the Dombarovsky District and the Yasnensky District were between 36 and 73 years old. According to preliminary data, death occurred as a result of the toxic effects of ethanol.
