In Russia, for the first time since the beginning of the year, 27 550 cases of COVID-19 were detected

In Russia, over the past day, 27,550 cases of coronavirus have been identified – this is the maximum number since the beginning of the year, according to the operational headquarters for combating the infection.

The day before, 25,133 cases were reported.

The increase in the incidence of coronavirus in the country began in the second decade of September.

In Moscow, 5404 cases of COVID-19 have been detected in the last 24 hours, this is the maximum value since July 11. The day before, 3589 cases were reported.

In St. Petersburg – 2,418 new cases (2,187 the day before), in the Moscow region – 1,454 cases (1,410 the day before).

Over the past day, 924 patients died from coronavirus, the day before, 929 deaths were reported, and this was the maximum number of deaths during the pandemic. Most of those who died in Moscow – 69, in St. Petersburg – 60 and in the Sverdlovsk region – 45.

In total, 7 million 690 thousand 110 cases of coronavirus infection were registered in Russia during the pandemic, 213 549 deaths and 6 million 799 thousand 230 were discharged, including 20 330 were discharged in the last day.
