The Investigative Committee of the Belgorod Region opened a case on the public justification of terrorism on the Internet (part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code) against a 17-year-old teenager. According to the investigation, on September 21 of this year, the teenager “posted a text message available to an unlimited number of people, accompanying it with images of Timur Bekmansurov and Ilnaz Galyaviev, involved in the 2021 murders in educational institutions of Kazan and Perm, as well as images of automatic small arms.”
The security forces conducted a search at his place of residence. According to the press service of the Investigative Committee, during the search “items of evidentiary value were seized.”
The teenager has already been charged and faces up to seven years in prison.
