In Tatarstan, a large amount of money and documents were stolen from the fourth department of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation. The employees of this institution are engaged in the investigation of particularly important cases.
Presumably, the theft was committed on the night of October 3. 15 million rubles and a folder with documents were stolen from the investigator’s office. How informs “Business Online”, at that moment the owner of the office, deputy head of the department Iskander Subaev, was on vacation.
In his absence, several masked men entered the premises. They taped up a surveillance camera before breaking the door lock. That night, the building was “somehow absent,” the newspaper notes.
“It seems that the thieves knew perfectly well what was stored and where,” a source told Business Online. “And their main goal was business, and they took the money, because it was beautifully laid out.”
The fourth department, where the theft took place, specializes in solving economic crimes. The stolen money was confiscated in the summer during a search of a businessman. And the stolen folder contained the materials of the case, which in the near future was to be transferred to Moscow, to the central office of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
A criminal case was initiated under Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (theft). The leadership of the regional department of the RF IC has taken the investigation under special control. The incident was immediately reported to Moscow. Employees of the FSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Tatarstan were involved in the search for the thieves.
