Annual inflation in Russia is now near its maximum and is likely to decline further. About it stated Deputy Minister of Finance Vladimir Kolychev.
“Inflation is close to its peak. At the end of the year, it will likely be lower than the peak, ”said a representative of the Ministry of Finance.
According to Rosstat data as of September 27, annual inflation in Russia accelerated to 7.25-7.26%. On September 20, this indicator was at the level of 6.96%, on September 13 – 6.84%, and at the end of August – 6.68%.
The last time annual inflation in Russia exceeded 7.2% in June 2016.
Formerly Chairman of the Central Bank Elvira Nabiullina statedthat the regulator expects a peak of inflation in September “somewhere around 7%.” According to the Central Bank chairman, the world is not yet threatened with a new economic crisis. The crisis scenario of the Central Bank for 2023 “is absolutely conditional and is needed to show in the three-year forecast period what the consequences can be if this scenario is realized.”
