All over Russia, mass events are canceled due to the deterioration of the epidemiological situation. About it stated Head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova at a meeting of the Presidium of the Coordination Council under the government to combat the new coronavirus infection.

“The situation with the coronavirus in Russia is extremely tense, the growth for the week was 14%,” Popova said.

According to her, the incidence of coronavirus among the elderly is growing in 21 of the 24 regions of Russia, where restrictions for them have been lifted.

Over the past day, almost 26 thousand new cases of the disease have been officially registered in Russia. During the day, 883 people died – seven less than the day before.
