Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko said that the World Health Organization has removed all the barriers that hindered the registration of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine. About this writes TASS.
“The position of the Russian Federation on the promotion and registration of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine has been heard. To date, we have completely removed all the questions, ”said Murashko, answering a question from an agency journalist during a briefing in Geneva.
The head of the Ministry of Health added that the company, which is engaged in the registration of the vaccine at the WHO site, “needs to sign a number of documents, submit a number of additional papers.”
“To date, all barriers have been removed. Therefore, we do not see any obstacles to further work today. And this was confirmed to us by the WHO Director General, ”Murashko summed up.
In September, WHO officials said they had suspended the approval process for a Russian vaccine after an inspection at one of the plants found a violation of good manufacturing practice. The organization stressed that a new inspection should go through after WHO receives notification of the correction of violations.
