The Tverskoy District Court of Moscow fined the human rights center “Memorial” 300 thousand rubles for not marking the “foreign agent” informs press service of Moscow courts.

On March 8, Vitaly Ponomarev, head of Memorial’s Central Asian Program, sent a letter to the Foreign Ministry’s electronic reception. It was about a 27-year-old student from Turkmenistan, Rozgeldy Choliev, who was detained in Moscow’s Sheremetyevo airport in March 2021.
In October 2016, the Ministry of Justice added Memorial to the list of “foreign agents”.
