In Moscow, from October 1, all patients with ARVI symptoms will need to undergo rapid testing for antigen to coronavirus. Statement by Vice Mayor Anastasia Rakova published on the website of the Moscow Department of Health.
If the test is positive, the patient will be sent to self-isolation.
“Now such an antigen test will be mandatory for all patients with ARVI symptoms. This approach allows us to make a prompt diagnosis, which means we can start treatment on the same day, which is critically important in case of COVID-19, ”Rakova said in a statement.
Rakova noted that an initiative with rapid tests for antigen to COVID-19 in patients with ARVI symptoms was launched in Moscow in July, it was carried out in a test mode. Now they decided to make the measure mandatory.
