According to the professor, he was detained at the door of the Moscow Higher School of Social and Economic Sciences, where he was supposed to give a lecture about Karl Marx. Kagarlitsky was taken to the police station in the Airport district to draw up a protocol on an administrative offense.
The professor noted that his detention is connected with a tweet about the upcoming meeting with the Communist Party deputies on Pushkin Square.
Earlier, Boris Kagarlitsky criticized electronic voting and the results of the three-day elections to the State Duma. He also heads the Institute for Globalization and Social Movements, which has been recognized as an NGO “foreign agent”.
September 25 in Moscow on Pushkin Square passed action of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation against electoral fraud. According to The Insider correspondent, over a thousand people gathered at Pushkinskaya Square.
To drown out the speeches of the speakers, during the event, the police played through the loudspeakers the songs “Uncle Vova, we are with you”, “Russia” and other compositions.
