Anna Shalunkina, the wife of Maxim Ivankin, convicted in the “Network” case, who was taken out of the colony in Chuvashia in an unknown direction in early September, cannot find him either in the colony or in the pre-trial detention center. About this she wrote в Facebook.
She stressed that since September 5, she cannot receive information about her husband’s whereabouts. Despite the fact that on September 14, the FSIN informed Anna that her letter had been delivered to Ivankin in the Zelenograd pre-trial detention center, no response was received from him.
In addition, Shalunkina learned that her husband would have to be in a pre-trial detention center in Mozhaisk and that a meeting was scheduled for him in October this year. At the same time, as Ivankin’s wife adds, there is no information on the courts’ website about this information, and when the letter was sent to the SIZO, she was told that they did not have such an addressee.
“My husband has disappeared completely, he is nowhere to be found. I called all the pre-trial detention centers, from where I received answers through the Fsin-letter, read them the answers of this Fsin-letter, where they write: the administration of the pre-trial detention center of such-and-such notifies you that your letter was censored, delivered and handed over to the addressee. She said that she received such letters at the same time from different cities. To which I received an answer in all institutions that Ivankin was not with them and had never been at all, not just passing through, not a single day, in any way, ”Shalunkina wrote.
How writes Novaya Gazeta, Ivankin’s lawyer Konstantin Kartashov said that he also did not know where his client was. “There are no answers to official inquiries, since they use this provision of the federal law that they have the right to respond within 30 days. In the meantime, less than 30 days have passed, so there is no answer. I think that they will wait until the very end, ”the lawyer added.
In March 2020, Kartashov in a conversation with Novaya Gazeta told about the pressure on Ivankin in the pre-trial detention center. The lawyer clarified that the security forces are forcing him to confess to complicity in the murder and are threatening him with physical violence, which, according to them, “will look like suicide.”
Later attorney told “7×7” that Maxim Ivankin and another person involved in the “Network” case, Mikhail Kulkov, were tried to interrogate without lawyers in a criminal case of murder in the Ryazan forest. They refused to testify.
Maxim Ivankin was sentenced to 13 years in prison in the case of the Penza branch of the “Network” together with six other defendants. Mikhail Kulkov – by the age of 10. The investigation was carried out by the FSB. The convicts repeatedly complained of torture, which forced them to incriminate themselves and accept guilt during the investigation, they told about this during the court hearings.
